Superannuation Simulation Web Application

Cordelta was engaged by Foresight Systems to develop a new online superannuation
simulation tool, which enables pre and post retirees to assess their financial position from over 20,000 simulations based on 50 years of market data. Simple deterministic calculators do not provide consumers with any indication of the investment risks associated with their retirement savings. As a result, Foresight Systems had developed a suite of stochastic simulation based tools for pre-retirement and post-retirement as sales tools for financial planners.

The simulation tool was originally an Excel document, which Cordelta converted and expanded into a web application. The application had to be fast, as well as compatible with all major browsers. Foresight Systems also wanted the application to be able to have product definitions varied and to be “skinned” for use with different superannuation funds.

Cordelta produced the web application using ASP .NET. Cordelta’s Brand Manager was also engaged to refresh the Foresight Systems website and branding surrounding the calculator.

Foresight Systems was pleased with the resulting web application and is currently selling it to clients. Foresight also further engaged Cordelta to produce a standard risk
management tool web application.
