Cordelta is set to strengthen and broaden its service offerings with the acquisition of KnowQuestion’s specialist information services capability from 1 January 2018.
KnowQuestion is a specialist information and knowledge management consultancy founded in 2013. Its founder and principal consultant, Stephen Bounds (pictured right), will take on the role of Executive, Information Management at Cordelta in the New Year.
“At KnowQuestion, we are proud of our holistic approach to solution delivery for our clients, using a rigorous and innovative approach to information and knowledge management,” Stephen said.
“Like Cordelta, our goal has been to become our clients’ trusted strategic partner. It is exciting to join a company that has an unparalleled reputation for its ethical approach to the delivery of high-quality services and sustainable technology solutions.”
In the past five years, KnowQuestion has worked extensively with federal, state and local government on engagements including recordkeeping compliance reviews, information governance frameworks, information architecture development, knowledge management strategy, complex data migration pipelines, technology capability reviews, and website development.
Stephen Anderson, Senior Executive for Strategy and Architecture at Cordelta, said he was pleased about the extra depth the acquisition brings to Cordelta’s security, digital services and business architecture practices.
“Stephen Bounds brings a wealth of experience in a very important field. Information management is a key issue for many of our clients, especially large federal government agencies with complex ecosystems,” he said.
Cordelta, which has expanded its team by 60 percent in the past twelve months, will release more information about its new information services offerings in coming weeks. Focus areas will include:
- Partnering with government agencies to achieve compliance with the National Archives’ Digital Continuity 2020 roadmap
- Supporting better information quality and information governance outcomes
- Achieving compliance with the updated knowledge management requirements of the ISO9001 quality standard.
