  • Defence VCDF Group Corporate Management Review

    In 2008, as a result of significant organisational growth, the Vice Chief of the Defence Force (VCDF) Group considered that its corporate management arrangements might not be optimised for effectiveness or efficiency. The purpose of the review was to establish an effective and efficient corporate management model for VCDF Group and review all corporate management functions to identify and recommend opportunities for rationalisation or improvement. Cordelta identified an organisational model for corporate management that would lead to greater effectiveness and efficiency. Cordelta also identified a number of opportunities for rationalisation and improvement within corporate management functions and drafted a series of related policies, procedures and guidance.   • Treasury Training and Instructional Design

    Cordelta successfully introduced The Department of the Treasury to the world of eLearning through the implementation of a new training program. The Treasury staff required training in instructional design and the use of a rapid authoring tool. In addition Cordelta developed two eLearning modules and assisted with workplace mentoring and knowledge transfer to enhance the eLearning capabilities of department staff. Cordelta instructional designer and trainer, Jodi Toleman, partnered with an internal department team to design and develop all aspects of the eLearning experience. She then assisted with its implementation into the department’s newly acquired Learning Management System.   • Australian Border Force Establishment of Logistics Management System

    Cordelta was engaged by the Australian Border Force’s (ABF) Marine Logistics Unit to undertake business improvement activities within the unit, this included the need to investigate and implement a Logistics Management System. Cordelta found that many policies were either non-existent or out of date, leading to a lack of standardisation in support of vessels, in the Darwin warehouse or in the Canberra head office. The imminent delivery of the Cape Class Patrol Boats (CCPB) and establishment of a second warehouse served as catalysts for a more unified solution.   • Digital Transformation Agency establishment of Digital Investment Management Office

    Cordelta is proud to have contributed to the now up-and-running Digital Investment Management Office (DIMO) at the Digital Transformation Agency (DTA). In 2016, the Prime Minister and Assistant Minister for Cities and Digital Transformation announced the need for a centralised governance function to oversee high profile digital investments across the Commonwealth Government. Cordelta were brought on-board to assist with the establishment of the new whole-of-government function and applied contemporary Design Thinking and Business Architecture methods to understand the problem space and outcomes the DIMO needed to solve and deliver.
