In 2008, as a result of significant organisational growth, the Vice Chief of the Defence Force (VCDF) Group considered that its corporate management arrangements might not be optimised for effectiveness or efficiency. The purpose of the review was to establish an effective and efficient corporate management model for VCDF Group and review all corporate management functions to identify and recommend opportunities for rationalisation or improvement.
Cordelta identified an organisational model for corporate management that would lead to greater effectiveness and efficiency. Cordelta also identified a number of opportunities for rationalisation and improvement within corporate management functions and drafted a series of related policies, procedures and guidance. The review’s recommendations addressed revised organisational structures, governance arrangements, administrative policies, processes and procedures, and business skilling.
The VCDF Group was happy with the outcome and accepted many of the recommendations.
